I intend to keep a running series of these, have for some time now, but the addition of a new entrant to nonprofit management support recently got me going. This outfit's mission statement goes something like this: "to enhance the resources and improve the management of nonprofit organizations..." There are several questions that might be asked in response, but I choose this one. Why is it important to do what the statement indicates? Seems to me the best answer to that question might well lead to the basis for a "correct" mission statement. Whadya think?
